Ingredients

45 ml gin 22 ml lemon juice (Freshly squeezed.) 15 ml simple syrup (1:1 sugar-to-water.) 15 ml cherry heering (Or crème de cerise.) 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Make it spirited

Cherry liqueur varies wildly between brands. Taste before you commit; if yours runs sweet, pull back on the simple syrup by half.

Method

Add gin, lemon, simple syrup, cherry heering, and bitters to a shaker with ice.

Shake hard for 12 seconds — the egg-white foam (optional) needs the air.

Double-strain into a chilled coupe.

Garnish with a brandied cherry on a pick. Serve up.
